My Dearest Ashok Bhaiya;
My sincere thanks for the time we have had together. Over the decades I have learned a lot from you about various technical subjects, philosophies, history, politics, religions, etc.
You were always firm in your convictions and were quick in thinking on your feet. I marveled at how broad a knowledge you possessed on disparate subjects. Your wide intellectual curiosity was inspiring! A role model to me that is worth emulating.
You had strong values and positions, but these were invariably informed by your own voluminous reading, research, analysis, and you could defend your positions admirably. This exemplified intellectually defensible thinking rather than mere subjective opinions!
Bhaiya, via your education, career experience, and courage to transition out of comfort zones, to become entrepreneurial and to defend the parts of society that are less fortunate, you have been a role model to me and to others.
We have met at numerous events and gathering over the decades, including by chance at a shopping mall a few years ago, when you made time to provide me with advice and information I sought, despite your busy work day. You have been kind and generous to many people in many ways.
The various inspiring and informative conversations we have had, will always be with me and I am a better person for having known you. I am trying to apply your guidance in my own life.
