Obituary of Lesley Gadoury

GADOURY Lesley Jean (nee Porter) passed away peacefully on 26 October 2023.

Lesley, in her 79th year, beloved wife and best friend of Denis Gadoury for 60 years.

Loving mother of Dean Gadoury (Patricia-Anne (Pat) Marquis), Tracy Bray (Michael (Mike) Bray

and the late Drew Gadoury.

Special “Gamma” to Spencer, Samuel (Sam), Madeline (Maddie) and Katie.

Dear daughter of the late William (Bill) and Jean Porter. Dear sister of Gordon Porter (Terry) and Wendy Klowak (Dennis Klowak). She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Lesley had a long working career with the Federal Government. In 2002 she was nominated by her peers who admired and appreciated her and she was subsequently selected as recipient of the Commemorative Medal for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee.

Thank you to the Ottawa Hospital caregiving staff for the care they provided Lesley.

A special thank you to the entire staff of the Marochel Manor who provided excellent

care to Lesley during the last seven months of her life.

The void she leaves in our hearts cannot be filled. May she rest in peace.
