Dave Whitmore was born in Ottawa, Ontario. He grew up in Nepean with his loving parents Dave and Diane and sisters Donna and Debbie. As any big brother, Dave liked teasing his sisters from a young age right up to adulthood. Dave had nicknames for almost everyone in the family. He was always joking, laughing and keeping conversations light. Dave cherished his sisters and the time they spent together. Dave had many friends and coworkers that he enjoyed his time with. Most of his stories would include his best friend Kevin MacDonald. Dave and Kevin always made the effort to stay in touch throughout the stages of life, even when life got too busy. The two of them have had a lifetime of adventures. Dave was a Procurement Manager for over 35 years in Toronto. He was employed by several large organizations. Dave retired as a Procurement Manger, Regional Sourcing Specialist from Air Liquide Canada. Dave was recognized for his many outstanding achievements within the company. Dave was known for his character and sense of humour in the workplace.
Anyone who knew Dave would know he had a true passion for cooking. He loved to cook for his family and friends, driving his sports cars while listening to the Rolling Stones, fishing, gardening, enjoy a cold beverage on a hot sunny day, and most importantly, spending time with his daughter Samantha. He especially enjoyed his hobbies at the cottage at Golden Lake, Dave's true happy place. He was a loving father, son, brother, father in law, brother in law, nephew, cousin, uncle, and all around amazing man, who loved to laugh and have a great time. Dave has touched all of our hearts and has left us far too soon. We will miss his hugs, smiles, laughs, phone calls, emails, his generosity and so much more.
