C’est avec tristesse que nous vous faisons part du décès de Francine survenu le 10 février 2024, à l’âge de 74 ans.  Elle laisse dans le deuil son conjoint bien aimé, Marcel Lauzon, ses enfants, Renée McCallum (Andrew) et Martin Richer (Carla Boucher), ses petits-enfants adorés, Marynia Richer et Thomas McCallum, sa chère soeur, Suzanne Corey (Rodney), son beau-fils, Pierre Lauzon, sa soeur de coeur, Micheline Sauvé, ainsi que plusieurs belles-soeurs, beaux-frères, neveux, nièces et amis. Francine fut prédécédée par ses parents, Henri Pomminville et Gertrude Martin, son époux, Guy Richer, ses sœurs, Thérèse Hilliard et Roberte Leduc et son frère jumeau, François Pomminville. La famille souhaite remercier l'équipe de l’Aire de surveillance intensive (AMA) de l’Hôpital Civic pour les excellents soins prodigués ainsi que le personnel attentionné de Symphony Senior Living à Kanata. Une célébration de la vie aura lieu le samedi 17 février, 2024 à 13h30 au Salon funéraire Pinecrest/Cole, situé au 2500, chemin Baseline à Ottawa. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 11h. Vos témoignages de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à l’organisme Crohn et Colite Canada ou à la Fondation de l’Hôpital d’Ottawa. 

With tender hearts, we bid farewell to Francine, who passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on February 10, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her devoted partner, Marcel Lauzon; her adoring children, Renée McCallum (Andrew) and Martin Richer (Carla Boucher); and her beloved grandchildren, Marynia Richer and Thomas McCallum. Francine is also fondly remembered by her cherished sister, Suzanne Corey (Rodney), her stepson, Pierre Lauzon, her dear friend, Micheline Sauvé, and a host of relatives and friends. In her journey beyond, Francine is reunited with her loving parents, Gertrude Martin and Henri Pomminville; her husband, Guy Richer; her sisters, Thérèse Hilliard and Roberte Leduc; and her twin brother, François Pomminville. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Acute Monitoring Area team at the Civic Hospital for their exceptional care, as well as the caring staff at Symphony Senior Living in Kanata. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 11 am to 1:30 pm and will be immediately followed by a Celebration of life at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road in Ottawa. Donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or the Ottawa Hospital Foundation in her memory would be deeply appreciated.
