Obituary of Kenneth Russell Gordon
Kenneth passed peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on March 8, 2024. Kenneth was born in Toronto but made his family life in Kingston and Ottawa. Loving husband and best friend to Carole J. Gordon for 68 years and a fun-loving dad to Deborah and Susan. Kenneth was a wonderful brother to Andrew and to sisters Geraldine and Bertha. He is greatly loved by many nieces and nephews and will be sorely missed. Kenneth was an avid car enthusiast and he loved his bluegrass music. Kenneth retired from the Bell in 1992. His job took him to the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador as well as Saudi Arabia. In his retirement, Kenneth and Carole loved to travel and have amazing adventures! They travelled across Canada, in his 1947 Ford Bell truck with the Canadian Coasters group three times. His spare time was spent making music with his band Gospel Grass, and following his and Carole’s favourite bands Gospel Grass, Concession 23, Maple Hill, Blue Grass Junction and that’s just to name a few! Kenneth and Carole are long-time happy campers of the Crooked Rapids Campground Family in Eganville, where they have camped since 1973. To many he had become their “camp dad” and he will be sorely missed.
