Obituary of Mona Forzley
With great sadness and heartbreak, we bid farewell to Mona Forzley, the consummate wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, who brought immense love and joy into the lives of her family and all who knew her. Mona peacefully departed this world on April 7, 2024 with her family by her side, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, compassion, generosity, and enduring memories.
As a devoted mother to her three children, Mona dedicated herself to their happiness and well-being, providing unwavering support, guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love through life’s challenges and triumphs. Mona instilled in her children the importance of integrity, perseverance, hard work, humility and empathy, shaping them into the contributing individuals they are today.
Grandmother to Jordan, Chenise, Sasha, Emmett, Theo, Auden, and Scarlett, Mona found boundless joy and fulfillment showering them with affection and endless love.
A devoted wife to Mansour (Victor), Mona navigated life's joys and challenges together with him from a young age, pushing themselves, their children and the generations that followed to be and do their best; and hosting countless joyful gatherings of extended family and friends.
Outside of home, Mona embraced life with a spirit of adventure and curiosity. She took delight in creative pursuits like Ikebana, card-making, sewing and cooking, and enjoyed a wide circle of friends and volunteering in the Japanese cultural community.
Mona is survived by her husband, Mansour (Victor); her loving children, Donna (Marc), Ray (Lisa) and Mike; her adoring grandchildren; her dear brother, Nassif (Rabab); and her beloved nephews and nieces, and their children.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral would be welcomed. The family also asks that you continue to honour Mona’s legacy through acts of kindness, compassion, and love to others.
