Obituary of Elizabeth Parry

Elizabeth (Betty) Parry (nee Carlile) was called home to the Lord on April 26, 2024, aged 94. She was the adored wife of Bob - "his girl" - for 70 years and much loved mother of Jane Houston (John), Gwendoline Mason (Kevin) and Juliet Russell (David). Betty was blessed to be the grandmother of, and chief pancake-maker for, David (Sarah), Robby (Marie), Brandon (Karla), Joshua, Sean, Nick (Emily), Bradley (Ally), Megan, Katie (Chris) and Steven. She was also a loving great-grandmother to William, Sophie, Lucie, Benjamin, Olivia, Isaac and Isabella.

Betty was a unique character - very wise and blessed with a wonderful sense of the ridiculous. She was also a talented pianist and exceptional seamstress but her greatest passion was for her family, each member of whom was gorgeous and perfect in her eyes.

Betty was a devout Christian and believed, as the Holy Bible tells us, that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). Her family also rejoices in that truth and in the sure knowledge that we will be with her again one day.

A service of remembrance will take place on Monday, May 6 at 1pm at Chapel Ridge Free Methodist Church, 5660 Flewellyn Road, Stittsville, Ontario.
