Our deepest sympathy to the Carswell family.
I first met Hy at Centralia in 1949 where we got our wings. He was obviously a "comer" as he attended the RAF Staff College early in his career. Hy was not only a good commander who progressed through the ranks quickly, he was a genuinely fine man with a great sense of humour. We met up with Hy and Jeanne in Summerside where we spent some wonderful times together playing bridge, having dinner, and attending numerous functions. Times we will not forget.
