Obituary of Paulette Tsoutis
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Paulette Tsoutis (Bisson), of Orleans, Ontario, on June 22, 2024 at the age of 78.
She was the beloved wife of Dimitrios (Jim) Tsoutis.
She will be deeply missed by her siblings Lise Danis (Lionel Durocher), Francine (Richard Grenon), Carole, and Guy (Wendy), her sister-in-law Kostadina, as well as many much-loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Jean-Paul and Bertha Bisson and her sisters, Bernadette, Micheline, Diane, Nicole, Sylvie, Danielle, Joanne, Julie, and Mary, and her brothers, André and Donald.
Paulette was born into a large French Canadian family. She loved to sing, and she participated in choirs during her school years. She experienced many physical health challenges from a young age but despite these challenges she always maintained a positive, uplifting attitude.
Paulette was the devoted wife of Jim. He was the love of her life.
Their love story began in 1962 when she was 17. They were married in Greece on June 14, 1986. They continued to forge a wonderful partnership for the past 62 years. She loved her family dearly and even though she and Jim were unable to have children of their own, she loved being an aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
A very social woman, Paulette had a great sense of humour and loved to entertain. She loved to cook and to bake and to listen to her favourite music while she worked.
Paulette was a very intelligent woman who had great insights into people. She had a great capacity for forgiveness and compassion and always saw the good in people.
Unfortunately, due to her mounting physical ailments, Paulette spent the last 20 years confined at home and, more recently, in long term care at Chapel Hill Retirement Home. Despite these circumstances, Paulette remained her cheerful self and always aspired to get well enough to return home with her beloved Jim.
Her smile, laughter, and presence will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 1315 Prince of Wales Drive on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024 from 11:00 AM until time of Paulette’s service at 12noon. Interment at the Pinecrest Cemetery. A reception will be held at the church hall following the burial.
