Obituary of Rollande Rosemonde Plouffe nee Constantineau (Lenaghan)
February 17, 1925 to July 29, 2024
Affectionately known as Rolly, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024, in Ottawa, Ontario, at the age of 99.
Rollande was born on February 17, 1925, in Mont Laurier, Quebec. She moved to Ottawa in her mid 20’s to pursue her career. A short time later, she met returning WWll veteran John David (Jack) Plouffe. They fell in love and on June 15th, 1957 they were married in a military wedding at Saint Patrick Basilica on Kent Street in Ottawa.
Rollande was the loving mother of Raymond (Wendy), Daniel (Diane), Debbie (Karl Pfizer), Peter (Sandra), and Kim. She was a proud grandmother to Corey (Lisa), Kurtis, Katie (Austin) Toly, Derrick, Megan, Kristen, Lauren, and Rachael, and a great-grandmother to Hailey, Grant, and Madison. She was the loving sister to Lise (Claude) Martel and Laury Constantineau (late Fernande) and Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John David Plouffe, parents, Wilson and Eglantine Lenaghan, Roderigue and Anita Constantineau as well as sisters, Agathe (Emile) Massey and Helene Constantineau.
Rollande’s life was marked by her generous spirit and her dedication to her family. She had a profound impact on all who knew her, always bringing laughter and joy into their lives.
A parishioner of St. Augustine Church, her faith and family were a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions throughout her life.
A Memorial service will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, Ontario, on August 17, 2024 at 11 am.
Rollande’s love, humor, and kindness will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.
