Obituary of Joseph Jean Paul Michel Sauvé
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michel (Mike) Sauvé of Kanata at work, Wednesday, August 7, 2024
Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 29 years, Maureen Mills-Sauvé. Mike is survived by his mother Mariette (late Jean Paul) Sauvé, his sisters Lynn Sauvé-Reece (Earl), Joanne Sauvé and brother Pierre (Tracie) Sauvé, as well as his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mike will be fondly remembered by his best friend Dan O’Neil, close cousins in his life; Celine Poulin, Françoise Davis, Claudette Handy, Kim Liedtke, Joanne Findley as well as his many friends and City of Ottawa co-workers.
Also mourning his loss are Mike’s mother-in-law Berylyne Mills, sister-in-law Sharlyne Mathieu (Gilles) and brother-in-law Rodderick Mills.
Mike was a kind and gentle man, a lover of animals, nature and, of course, the Montreal Canadiens. Mike loved all things related to the rink, namely hockey and figure skating. Mike and Maureen met at the Minto Skating Centre where Mike worked and Maureen coached figure skating. They have been together since then.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike’s memory to the following charities that were close to his heart; Humane Society of Ottawa or Canadian Wildlife Federation.
