Which Cardiologist shall I refer you to upon my retirement Dr. Beal ands asked me with true sincerity presenting the options. Dr. Rob Bealands? Are you sure, he asked again.
He doesn’t have the experience of the other cardiologists. Rob Bealands , I confirmed. Over the years I never once regretted my decision, Rob Bealands it was, son of Dr. Donald Bealands. My condolences. Mr. Ismaily

I enjoyed annual trips with Don and Dick and sometimes Ian Hart to the Eagle and Kedgwick or Bonnaventure Rivers.
One great day Don caught a 19, 29, and 39 pound fish from the same pool. Said you just have to be in the right place at the right time.
Skol pa fisken, Skol Don, SKOL!

Hello Beanlands family;
My father Richard, brother Donald and I had many wonderful fishing trips at Maganassippi with Don. My dad died 3 years ago, of covid of all things.
Donald and I remember Don well (one of the two Doc's- along with Dick Gillies). We had wonderful times with them over many years, fishing, smoking cigars, cooking them shore lunches at back camp.
Please accept our condolences. Don (and Dick) were the dynamic duo, and they will be missed by us all.
Donald and I wish you all the best,
John Hogarth

To the Beanlands family, I hope that the fond memories of the past can help you navigate these difficult days. We all owe a great deal of thanks for what he had done for the city, but especially what he has done for healthcare in this country. Thank you does not seem enough. "Thank you Dr. Beansland"

I knew Don briefly when I was a junior member of the Department of Medicine at Toronto Western Hospital from 1970-1972. Although I didn't interact with him at a clinical level, I knew him from departmental meetings. He was thoughtful, rational, self-confident and pleasant. His deportment and behaviour confirmed the fine values his parents and family espoused and passed on to Don. He was liked and respected by all who knew him. I am sorry to read of his death and send my deepest sympathies to the entire Beanlands family.
