I wish to convey my sincerest condolences to the Kemp Family.
I first met Mike at Bell-Northern Research in the early 80's, he had recently moved to Ottawa from the UK. I visited him and Chris when they had an apartment in the Bayshore area, he played tapes recorded from BBC broadcasts and introduced me to Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, it was too much fun! Indeed Mike is highly respected in the high-tech community, he was highly intelligent and could find creative solutions to most problems. He will be missed.

So sad to hear of Michael's passing. I have a lots of memories of our next door neighbours. Chris and Michael, Jamie and David were the first people we met when we moved in to Long Meadow Way. Our kids grew up together and remain friends. At many of our gatherings, Michael amazed us with his intelligence, his love of history and all things British and his sense of humour. It was nice to have neighbours you could talk to over the fence, share a drink or a meal and have long chats about everything important and unimportant.
