Obituary of Dorothy Mae (Cole) Ballard

Passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Perth Community Care Centre in Perth. Dorothy (Big Gramma) leaves behind her adoring children Ronald and Nancy (Mark); grandchildren (predeceased) Amie (Christian), Shannon and Cole; great- grandchildren Jordan, Dryden and Joshua; and blended family Melissa (David), Katelyn, Nathan, and Thomas; Katarina, and Mitchel (Donna-Jean).

Dorothy was an active, outdoors woman who enjoyed entertaining, travelling, water activities, camping, and fishing. She was also actively involved in team sports including speed skating, bowling, golf, curling, and card games. Her artistic endeavours included handcrafting and making Ralph’s woodworking projects perfect.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Cole Funeral Servies & Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, ON. Inurnment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow in the Pinecrest Solarium.
