Obituary of Jeff Hodgins

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jeff Hodgins on Friday, October 18, 2024 at the age of 63.

Jeff was the son of the late Douglas and Agathe (Peggy) Hodgins and predeceased his infant daughter, Jessica.

He was a devoted husband and father to his wife, Judy, of 40 years and their sons Justin and Jordan.

He also leaves behind his brothers Stephen (Rekha), Randy (Judy), Perry (Diane) and his sister Margaret; his sisters-in-law Irene (Stephen) Biro, Christine (Sean) Kovacs and Marian (predeceased) (Henry) Kovacs-Paul and brother-in-law Steve Gyoerffy. Cherished uncle to Jaya and Leela Hodgins; Allison (Malcolm) MacArther; Stacey (David) Hancock; Kelsey (Joe) Ash; Andrew and James (Roxy) Biro; Mitchell and Erika Paul; Mila and Mika Gyoerffy and grand nieces and nephews Colton, Kaiden, Keily, Londyn and Melina.

Jeff was a man with many interests: softball, golf, fishing, travelling, cards, gambling and was a handyman extraordinaire. He wasn't one to sit around and do nothing, he was always on the go. He was a devoted family man, loyal friend and neighbour. He was especially generous with his gift of time in helping others and was always free to give out hugs, especially to the ladies.

Jeff had just started to enjoy his retirement life, after working with Bell Canada (BTS group) just short of 15 years. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbours. He has touched so many people. His genuine warmth, generosity and humour will never be forgotten.
